Most child experts and parents would disagree. This is because it takes more than just a cute shape and a cute color to decide on a toy for a child. • Consider the child's age. Age is a very important factor in determining if a toy is appropriate for a child or not. One should know that not all toys are created equal as not all children have the same interest or that there is a generic toy that every child will like.

The best bet in some cases is to get toys that are typically the trend or the hottest buys for a season as most kids are always eager to get one and show them off to their playmates. However, if you should go for something unique, always consider toys that the child would enjoy playing with. Either that or you would get to see your gift being displayed on the corner or pushed to the end of the closet.
